Private Soccer Training in Laurel, MD

Laurel sits right on the line between Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County, and Touch Lab Soccer Training serves players on both sides of it. We bring USSF licensed, one-on-one and small group coaching directly to the parks and fields Laurel families already use, so players get real individualized development without adding another long drive to the weekly schedule.

Coaching Built Around Real Development

Laurel has a busy youth soccer scene, from rec leagues to travel clubs pulling players in from Konterra, Russett, and Maryland City. What’s often missing in that mix is time. Team practice has to move at the pace of the group, which means a player’s specific weakness, whether it’s a hesitant weak foot or losing composure under pressure, doesn’t always get the repetition it needs to actually improve.

That’s the gap Touch Lab fills. Every session starts by identifying exactly where a player’s game needs work, then builds the training plan around it. There’s no fixed curriculum running the same drills regardless of who showed up.

One-on-One Soccer Training in Laurel

One-on-one sessions put the coach’s entire focus on a single player. Nothing is shared, nothing is rushed to keep a group moving, and every minute goes toward whatever that player needs most that day.

This format is often the right call for players who are:

Trying to fix one clear technical issue, like first touch, finishing, or weak foot control Preparing for a tryout, club evaluation, or showcase Just starting out and building the ball control fundamentals everything else depends on Playing goalkeeper and need dedicated, position specific reps Working back from an injury and need a coach managing pace and intensity closely

Because the whole session revolves around one athlete, technical corrections tend to stick faster, especially for players working to break a habit that needs sustained, close attention.

Small Group Soccer Training in Laurel (Up to 8 Players)

Small group sessions bring in the energy of training with others while staying capped at 8 players, so no one gets lost in the mix and every player still gets real individual coaching.

Laurel families often choose small group training when:

Their player already has a group of teammates, friends, or siblings who want to train together A lower per player rate fits the budget better than one-on-one coaching Their player works harder and plays better with a bit of competition mixed in A travel or club team wants extra reps between regular practices, built around real match situations

Sessions combine technical drills with small sided scrimmages and possession based games, so players are developing decision making under actual game pressure rather than just repeating isolated reps.

Inside a Typical Session

Every session, one-on-one or small group, follows the same intentional structure: a dynamic warm up, technical work tied to that day’s specific focus, competitive, game realistic activity to apply it, and a short cool down with direct feedback for the player and parent. Sessions are held at public parks and fields around Laurel, scheduled around school, club practice, and whatever else is already on your family’s calendar.

About the Coach

Touch Lab Soccer Training is led by a USSF licensed coach with hands on experience at the Manchester City Soccer Academy at Sofive and the Skills Institute Soccer Program. That academy background shapes an approach built around technical fundamentals and game intelligence, the same qualities higher level club programs look for when evaluating players.
